Completion Announcement – Amcomri Group strengthens rail links with acquisition of E-Trac Limited

Amcomri Group has today confirmed the acquisition of E-Trac Limited (“E-Trac”), a specialist in the testing and repair of rolling stock traction and control equipment.

The purchase of E-Trac provides an ownership transition for the existing shareholders. Dominic Cosgrove will remain with the Company as Managing Director following the acquisition. E-Trac now joins TP Matrix in Amcomri’s railway-focused electronic and electrical engineering division, and deepens their focus on operation and safety critical equipment maintenance across the key infrastructure sectors.

E-Trac was formed in 2009 in a small workshop in Cranleigh, Surrey. Over the last 13 years the Company has expanded due to its wealth of expertise in rail system control and power electronics. The Company is now based in Godalming, Surrey, where it operates an in-house testing facility which provides customers with highly effective fault finding and repair facilities and services.

Mark O’Neill of Amcomri Group said: “E-trac is an extremely well-run business that has performed exceptionally well in recent years. Following our acquisition of TP Matrix last year, E-trac provides us with the ability to further extend our service offering in the specialist rail-focused electrical and electronics maintenance business. We especially look forward to working with Dominic Cosgrove and the team at E-trac to deliver continued success into the future.”

Dominic Cosgrove, E-Trac Managing Director commented, “Having built E-Trac into a successful business with an excellent reputation over the last 13 years, we wanted to ensure the Company had the opportunity to continue to grow and further strengthen its market-leading position. We are delighted with how the sale has gone and we feel that Amcomri Group will provide an exciting runway for the future success of E-Trac.”

David Nelson, Leith M&A Managing Director commented, “Dominic engaged Leith M&A with a clear mandate; to find a long-term partner for the business capable of building on the service offering and reputation of E-Trac, whilst providing continued employment for the team and protecting client relations. We are very proud to have achieved our mandate and it has been a great pleasure to support Dominic and his fellow shareholder. We wish Dominic, E-Trac, Amcomri Group and all stakeholders all the best for the future. We feel certain that the future will be very bright.”

The Shareholders of E-Trac were advised by Leith M&A (M&A advisory), Downs Solicitors (legal) and JKT (accountancy).
